Help Squirrel Get Back to Her Healthy, Happy Self
Hi everyone, it’s Inga. I wouldn’t be here if I weren’t in real need of help. My sweet girl, Squirrel, hasn’t been herself these past few weeks. Normally, Squirrel is full of energy and chatter, but lately she’s been so tired, wanting only to curl up on my lap or sleep on my head for comfort.
I knew something was wrong, so I took her to the vet last week. After a series of tests, we found out that Squirrel has diabetes. The good news is that, because I noticed the changes early, we caught it before it became life-threatening.
Unfortunately, the timing couldn’t be worse. I recently lost one of my jobs, my main source of income, and have been struggling to keep up with expenses. I even had to use part of my rent this month to cover her initial vet care. I’m humbly asking for help to make sure I can continue giving Squirrel the care she needs without having to choose between her treatment and my basic bills.
Squirrel is the heart of my little family. She’s the sweetest, most loving cat, bringing endless joy to me, her big brother Oliver, and everyone who meets her. Asking for help is hard, but my pride means nothing compared to her health and happiness.
As of November 10, 2025, Squirrel just started her new medication to help get her diabetes under control. She has about five more vet visits scheduled over the next six weeks as we monitor her progress and adjust her treatment. It’s going to be a tough road, but this is the first step toward getting her back to her happy, healthy self and maybe even remission.
Any amount of help, big or small, means the world to us. Thank you so much for reading, sharing, and supporting us during this difficult time. From me, Squirrel, and Oliver. We love you all.
