Spirit Ranch has always been a place of learning, growth, and community. It is a non-profit organization where youth, veterans, and those with special needs have been able to experience the joy of horses.
Recently, our founder and trainer, Cinnamon, was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer in August of 2025. As she focuses on her health, she is unable to continue her work.
Cinnamon is a life-long equestrian and has taught countless riders, trained hundreds of horses, and helped so many people how to love and care for horses. She also runs a riding school, Stellar Farm, and is the heart of a loving barn family who looks to her for extensive horse knowledge and enthusiastic chats about books, movies, or D&D. Cinnamon is financially responsible for five horses— three of them belong to Spirit Ranch and two are her own. This does not count the other twelve horses whom her clients own but that she cares for like they are her own.
Our dedicated community of equestrians are doing everything we can do to ensure the horses receive the care they need, but expenses for board and daily care are significant— nearly two-thousand dollars each month for the Spirit Ranch horses alone. Every donation goes directly towards feeding, housing, and caring for the Spirit Ranch horses during this difficult time.
Your support means more to Cinnamon and her community than words can express. Even during such a challenge, Cinnamon's greatest wish is still for her horses to come first and be happy and healthy. Please consider donating and sharing our story.
