Support for Spice

Spice is preparing for rite of passage surgery and needs community support during recovery. As an herbalist, yoga instructor,

Ayurvedic consultant, bookkeeper and community member, Spice cares for others diligently and generously. It is now time to surround Spice with that same care in the form of donations to cover surgery-related costs.

The procedure Spice needs is not offered locally, which significantly increases necessary expenses. Spice needs funds to make recovery possible especially since time away from self employment is incredibly stressful at a time when they are having difficulty making ends meet as it is. Your donations will ensure a calm, safe and fully supported recovery.

Donations will help with medical bills, housing, food, caretaking and travel expenses. Funds will provide Spice with housing needed between surgery and the post-operation follow-up, groceries and meals and compensation for caregivers. This support will create the space for healing and help honor the beginning of a new journey. Please help care for Spice, a generous caretaker of others.

Caregiver compensation: $1500

Transportation: $300

Food and medical supplies: $800-1000

Medical bills not covered by insurance: $2700

Any extra funds will help Spice live and catch up on living expenses while they recuperate and look for new employment.
