Spencer Koolhoven, my son, has faced a series of life-changing injuries over the past two years. After spending months recovering from a crushed foot and enduring two surgeries, he was finally starting to get his life back on track. Just five months after his last operation, Spencer was involved in an e-bike accident on June 2, resulting in a compound fracture to his leg. He underwent emergency surgery that same day and is now facing another operation in the coming week. This setback has been incredibly hard on him, both physically and mentally, as he’s still managing hospital bills from his previous injuries.

Spencer works as a supervisor at Green Envy landscaping company in North Lake Tahoe. He’s passionate about outdoor sports, but his injuries have kept him from enjoying the activities he loves. With this latest accident, Spencer will be out of work for at least a month. He needs help covering his rent and essential living expenses while he recovers, as well as support for the costs of his upcoming surgery. Despite his best efforts to stay on top of his bills, this new challenge has pushed him to the edge.
