Support Special Needs Education - Dambuza Primary
Donation protected
Hello!
We are Bryony, Mirjam, Marrit and Femke. As part of our Education Minor in South Africa, we are working with Dambuza Primary School in Port Alfred.
Dambuza Primary is one of the few public schools in the Eastern Cape that provides Inclusive Education for learners with special needs. As of September this year, the school will be officially registered as an Inclusive School and start running a programme that welcomes children of all abilities.
The reality is tough: teachers face the daily challenge of teaching children with special needs in overcrowded classrooms, with very limited resources and little training.
That’s where we want to make a difference.
We are creating an activity box filled with educational and creative materials, plus clear manuals for the teachers. These boxes will:
- Give children meaningful activities that build life skills and confidence to build independence outside of the classroom.
- Provide teachers with much-needed support in managing their classrooms.
- Help create a safe, inclusive learning environment for children growing up in the townships.
With your donation, you can directly improve the quality of education and give these children the chance to thrive.
Every contribution—big or small—will help us bring lasting change to this school. Together, we can support the teachers and empower the learners of Dambuza Primary. Thank you for making a difference! ✨
