The Special Patient Care Initiative at UCLA is excited to announce that they will be hosting the inaugural Disability Healthcare Conference. This is a student-led conference focused on disability healthcare and inclusive medical practice. The event will feature a keynote address from a physician specializing in disability health, a multidisciplinary panel with medical professionals and disability advocates, and student poster presentations highlighting disability-related research. Attendees will also have time for networking, tabling by disability-focused campus organizations, and dinner. This conference aims to foster dialogue, learning, and collaboration around improving healthcare experiences for people with disabilities.
