Support the SPC Women's Team Represent the CNMI at Micronesia Cup!
The Saipan Paddling Club (SPC) women's team has been training for the upcoming Micronesia Cup held in Palau on October 24-26 in the sport of Va'a.
To attend, we need to raise funds to cover our flights, with a current total of $7,000. With limited time and a significant goal, we are reaching out to our community, friends, and family for help.
Your donation will directly cover our costs to attend the competition. We have been training hard out on the water while also working on several fundraising efforts to make this possible.
Help us represent the CNMI at Micronesia Cup! Please share this fundraiser on your social media, group chats, or with anyone who may be interested. We greatly appreciate all the support we have received!
Background
Va'a, a traditional Polynesian outrigger canoe, is historically known for inter-island travel, fishing, and voyaging. The modern Va'a sport began in Tahiti and Hawaii, and now paddlers from all over the world come together to race in competitions held internationally.
The Micronesia Cup is a regional outrigger canoe race that has been hosted since 1999 between Guam, Saipan, and Palau, with participants from the region and beyond.
