Matthew Sparks -- otherwise known as "Sparky" is facing a challenging recovery after a major revision to the Fontan heart surgery he had as a newborn.

The recent procedure was designed to improve his heart function and quality of life for years to come, allowing him to keep being the rowdy, passionate guy we all know and love.

Unfortunately, early in his recovery he hit some significant setbacks that have extended his hospital stay and healing timeline. He's still progressing day by day, and his doctors remain confident that he will make a full 100% recovery and get back to the life he enjoys.

Before surgery, he learned he was declined for short-term disability through his insurance, meaning no income during this extended time away from work. Combined with unexpected medical expenses, this has created a real financial strain—especially with rent and basic living costs while his return home remains uncertain.

This GoFundMe was created to help ease that burden so he can focus entirely on healing without added stress. Funds will go toward medical bills not covered by insurance, housing stability, and daily needs during recovery.
