Support Sox's Recovery and Our Shelter

Those who know me know I have been running an independent animal Shelter from home: A No-kill, no cage, hybrid sanctuary; from feral to home or where life treats them best. Since, we have rescued so many and found them forever homes as well as tnr'd over 45 cats in the area in the past 4 years. And all done from love and from the bottom of our own pockets. Work of tender compassion and ever-trying love, not just from our home to the cats, but always all around. Even our community is taking notice and becoming involved. However, we really need your help. Not only for the current precarious situation we are facing with our intake, on-boarding lead, White Sox; who has suffered a terrible accident, but also because we are getting to a point where volunteer and financial help is indeed needed.

Yesterday at 9am, doing my usual routine of rising, finding, feeding, cleaning, etc., was outside when the most horrifying scene happened before my eyes. I see Sox getting run over by a car!

Vets say he needs surgery and maybe even amputation. Either way, there will be very burdensome hospital bills to come and not to mention rehab therapy and who knows what more.

Sox was born in the street and found (as per usual with most of our cool Katz) a few blocks away. He was brought in because he had tapeworm. We got him treated for it and later got him tnr'd (vaccinated, neutered and chipped.) He soon became an elemental part of the team, returning on his own and making a position for himself as everybody's favorite, cats and spare-humans alike.

Returning from whatever this nightmare turns out to be, our sweet boy will have a forever home with us, and join the incredible Rebelkatz alumni adopted crew: boss-katz like Booi, Chata, Pepe Pecas, Ash, and headmaster himself, Demostenes. He Fits right in.

The hardest part is managing these processes necessary and at the same time, doing the work to keep these cats healthy and safe. Most of population is comprised of feral and strays or abandoned cats. Your donation will help us find the means to accomplish more.
