Support Soutmanisay’s Flower Farm Recovery

Donation protected
Soutmanisay Xayaboupha is a dedicated flower grower and lei maker who has spent years nurturing her one-acre farm and selling beautiful flowers and lei at the local market. Her livelihood depends entirely on her farm, where she lives and works every day. When the severe Kona Low storm hit, Soutmanisay was forced to run from her garden and rush home as floodwaters quickly rose. The water came up to her knees, destroying her generator and leaving her house flooded.

The aftermath has been devastating. Soutmanisay’s land remains underwater weeks later, making it impossible to grow anything. She lost all her seeds, gardening supplies, and her generator. With her home now filled with mold and flood damage, she has been displaced and is currently staying with friends in Kunia. Without her farm, Soutmanisay has no means to earn a living, and it may be three to six months before she can begin to rebuild and plant again.

Funds raised will provide immediate and urgent support for Soutmanisay as she recovers from this disaster. Your generosity will help immensely.

Mahalo for your kōkua. Anything is greatly appreciated.

This GoFundMe was created by the volunteers from Help Maui Rise for the Storm Kōkua initiative and will directly benefit Soutmanisay Xayaboupha and her bank information was added for her to withdraw directly.
