Support Soryah's Journey to International Rugby

My name is Soryah Hart and I am currently a junior (about to be a senior) at Avon High School in Avon, Indiana. I am a student athlete at Avon and hold a 3.3 gpa and will graduate with an academic honors diploma next May, all while competing as a dual athlete. I have played basketball at both the aau and high school level while being recruited to play in college. However just last year I came across an opportunity that I took a chance on, Rugby! I started playing for Westside Revenge Rugby and to much surprise I not only was good, I almost immediately started being recruited at the college level too.

Last fall my team Westside Revenge, became the fall 7’s state champions. I was named MVP of the state games and went on to be awarded the MVP of my team this past fall. I represent my team, my school, my family, and myself very well.

I am reaching out to you because I need help to reach not only a once in a lifetime opportunity but could potentially make a dream come true. I was recruited to play for the EIRA (Eagle Impact Rugby Academy) which is led by Coach Salty Thompson who was the women’s USA Rugby team but now coaches for EIRA! This EIRA team is touring the whole month of July and we will be going to Ireland, Spain, and France to compete. So not only is this a huge opportunity, it could lead to me being part of the Women’s USA Olympic Rugby team in the very near future.

The only thing stopping me is the funds to make this happen. Of course this is a fantastic opportunity but it’s expensive. And I am left to come up with a substantial amount of money, so I am asking for your help. All of the money donated, 100% goes towards my uniform, airfare, my room(s), the practice facilities fees (my portion), my international insurance through the team, as well as my transportation the whole month of July while I’m away.

I am trying to get enough sponsorships so I can raise $10,500 so I can go on this once in a lifetime trip to not only experience things kids my age only dream of, but so make my dream of becoming a US Olympian come true.
