SoPo Soccer is a non-profit dedicated to building community and developing young people through the game of soccer. In our second year, we provide off-season soccer training for over 100 families in our town. We provide quality, local training at 1/3 of the cost of other clubs, and this year we gave over 25 players full scholarships to train from December - April. We are raising money to help cover the extra costs that come with competition at this level.
Our U10 boys team and our U14 boys team are ready to prove themselves in their first regional tournament this month. This tournament alone costs over $1,000 for each team. The U14 team will compete in the Maine State Premier League in the spring, where we will compete against clubs who collect over $2,000/player. For full-price families, we charge $650 for the entire program, and eleven of the players on these two teams are full scholarship. Covering the cost at this level is much more difficult for our club. These kids have earned the opportunity to play against the best competition around, but we need your support to pay for the tournament costs, turf rentals for home games, league fees, and other requirements to play at this level.
