Hi! My name is Sophie Griggs! I am a senior, Child & Adolescent Development major at Point Loma Nazarene University! This summer, I’ve been given the opportunity to serve on a LoveWorks mission team through Point Loma Nazarene University. From July 23 to August 13, I’ll be traveling to Tirana and Lushnje, Albania on a short-term mission trip.

LoveWorks is a Christ-centered ministry that partners with local communities around the world through a ministry of presence. Instead of going in to “fix” problems, we come alongside local partners to listen, learn, serve, and build meaningful relationships rooted in Christ. While in Albania, our team will help with children and youth camps, English and music ministry, and construction projects.

I was drawn to LoveWorks because of its strong emphasis on community, humility, and faith in action. I feel deeply called to step outside of my comfort zone, trust God fully, and serve with an open heart. I believe this experience will shape my faith, perspective, and the way I live out Christ’s love beyond this trip.

To make this mission possible, I am raising support to help cover the cost of travel, housing, meals, and program expenses.
