Support Sophie's Healing Journey After Attack

On Thursday December 19th, my sister’s sweet little dog Sophie got brutally attacked by a stray dog. Her jaw was fractured in multiple places, she has multiple gashes all over her face and has a long recovery ahead of her. She had surgery on Friday the 20th and is now recovering. Part of her bottom jaw had to be removed and she has drains placed in her face to help the healing. Even with pet insurance the surgery, IV’s, oxygen and overnight stays will end up costing thousands of dollars. My sister Julia would never ask for help so I’m setting this up for her because this will definitely hurt her financially. She is missing Christmas as she has to stay in Charlotte, NC to take care of Sophie. Anything would help and I know Julia will appreciate it. Julia had wanted a dog for her whole life and my parents surprised her at 14 with Sophie. She loves this dog and is heartbroken that she got injured.
