Support Huntsville's Local Film Project "Birds of Prey"

Birds of Prey is a short film we are producing for submission to film festivals across the world. Thank you so much for visiting our Go Fund Me page! This is a Huntsville, Alabama local short film made by artists all based in Alabama and we are in need of your donation to get it to as many festivals as possible!

When the lead singer of a grunge band loses control as they're on the brink of fame, she must fight to hold onto everything she's ever wanted as her world crumbles.

"Here's to another year of potential..."

I started writing the script for "Birds of Prey" in September of 2024. After many drafts, working with my actors, filmmakers, writers, musicians, family, friends, and any unsuspecting victim I find, we have finally started production!

The story is a thriller and immersion into the world of 90s grunge with music by local musicians Andrew Sharpe, Wanda Wesolowski, and Aaron Cox. We have already had so much support from my community for filming and now want to involve you even more in the making of this production!

My name is Sophie Hosna. I'm a director, actor, and photographer from Huntsville, Alabama, making my first film outside of university! I attended Point Park University and UCLA to study acting, photography, and filmmaking and came back to Huntsville to teach theatre after my graduation from college. While living in Huntsville, I have been so inspired by the community of artists and knew I wanted to make something I'm proud of with these incredibly talented and motivated artists and technicians.
