Hi, my name is Jennifer, and I’m fundraising on behalf of my dear friend Sophie, who recently lost her beloved mother Kathrin. She and her brother are now navigating an incredibly painful and overwhelming time.

Not only are they grieving the heartbreaking loss of their mom, but they’ve also been left with the full responsibility of handling everything that comes after — the funeral, managing her estate, and cleaning out and preparing to sell her home. It’s a massive emotional and financial burden for anyone, let alone two siblings still trying to process such a profound loss.

The past few years have already been incredibly hard on Sophie. She devoted herself to caring for her mom — offering her love, time, and strength day after day. That care was given without hesitation, but it also came with an emotional and financial cost that she quietly carried long before this loss.

At the end of the fundraiser, funds will be sent to the family in Germany and will help cover:

* Funeral, cremation, and headstone expenses

* Legal and administrative costs involved in settling their mom’s estate

* Cleanup and restoration of their mom’s house in order to sell it.

* Basic living costs and personal assistance while they manage everything.

Having already lost their father at a young age, Sophie and her brother are doing their best to take care of everything with strength and love, but they shouldn't have to carry this all on their own.

With your help, we can ease some of the financial pressure so they can focus on honoring their mom and healing during this incredibly hard time.
