Hi, I’m Sophia, a student at Cornell University, from Northern California. When walking to my apartment in the winter weather, I fell on black ice and broke my ankle in two places, requiring surgery to place screws and a plate to stabilize the break. My mother has to fly from California to help with the surgery and the recovery process. Any donations will be used to cover the surgery costs, including CT scans, cast removals, a knee mobility scooter, and medications. Other donations will go toward my mother’s flight from Sacramento, California, her stay in Ithaca for a week, and transportation during recovery.
