In October of 2024, Sophia was struck by a reckless driver. This event has completely changed her life. She can no longer keep up with her assigned work duties, resulting in demotion and inability to work; she cannot participate in her family life and be the care giver she has always been; she can no longer enjoy the small pleasures of life such as walks, physical activities, and providing for others. This has drastically changed her level of dignity, quality of life, and identity.

Sophia has always been a hard-working daughter, wife, and mother. As a first generation immigrant, she made countless difficult decisions in order to build a better life for her loved ones. She had a vision and was dedicated to make it a reality. For over a year now, her life feels no longer her own.
