Hello! My name is Sophia Bell Payton, but most people call me Sophie. I am beyond excited to share that I was recently accepted into the prestigious Interlochen Center for the Arts 6‑week Musical Theatre program! As an added bonus, this year’s production is one of my all‑time favorite musicals, West Side Story! I am truly over the moon about this incredible opportunity.

I’ve been dancing since I was 3 years old, and soon after I began studying singing and acting. Through years of training, hard work, and unforgettable experiences, I’ve discovered that musical theatre is not just a passion for me — it’s my heart and my future. I have also been lucky enough to perform in several professional theatre productions, which has only strengthened my dream of pursuing theatre as my lifelong career.

This opportunity, however, comes with a significant cost. The total tuition for the program is $10,350, not including travel or additional expenses I’ll need while attending. I am fortunate to have received a merit scholarship in addition to saving everything I can, from performing in shows to working at a hotel during the summer, but I still need help reaching the full amount.
