What started as a week filled with lots of fun and memories made in Destin, Florida, on the last night of an amazing vacation, a tragic accident occurred. On Friday, June 12th, Sophia Simonson sustained a head injury that required immediate medical attention. With a skull fracture, brain bleed and abrasions, she’s now facing a challenging road to recovery with many things still left unknown.
Sophia is currently in ICU at HCA Florida Fort Walton Destin Hospital. Her mom (Barbie) and sister (Sydni) remain by her side while her dad (Brad) and brother (Bradley) anxiously wait for every update back home in Cincinnati, Ohio. With every scan and phone call they pray for a “stable” report.
As they navigate this difficult journey, the emotional and financial burdens continue to grow with Sophia’s medical care.
Sophia is known for her kindness, strength, and the love she gives to everyone around her. But honestly, it’s her bubbly and genuine personality that is infectious, bringing a smile to everyone she meets. More now than ever, she needs our support.
We are asking friends, family, and compassionate strangers to come together and help ease the financial stress so Sophia and her family can focus on what matters most—her recovery.
No donation is too small, and every contribution will make a difference. If you are unable to give financially, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Sophia in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for your generosity, support, and encouragement during this incredibly difficult time.
Please help us support Sophia as she heals and recovers.
