Sophia Sutton Wood has always been the person who gives the shirt off her back, never putting herself first and always helping others. Now, as her best friend, I am reaching out because Sophia needs our help more than ever. She has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 inoperable liver cancer, and her liver is covered with cancer and a large blood clot. This diagnosis has turned her world upside down, and she is unable to work as she begins her fight against this disease.

Sophia is starting immunotherapy on December 5th, 2025. While this treatment is not a cure, it is her best chance to contain the cancer and keep it from spreading. The costs are overwhelming—her share of the treatment and her medications are significant, even with prescription coverage. Insurance prices have risen dramatically, and she must maintain both medical and prescription coverage to continue her fight. Disability support takes time to process, and in the meantime, Sophia is facing mounting bills for treatments, prescriptions, equipment, and holistic medicines that might help her.
