Sophia was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on 8/26/26, and since that day our family has been focused on her treatment while staying by her side through every step of this fight.
Briza, Sophia’s mom, has taken a leave of absence from work so she can be with Sophia during this time, and she is not working while Sophia is in treatment. That loss of income, on top of Sophia’s medical costs, has created a heavy financial burden for our family at a time when our energy needs to be centered on her care.
This fundraiser will help offset Sophia’s treatment-related medical expenses and help make it possible for Briza and I to continue being by her side as much and as long as needed. Because these needs continue over time during treatment, recurring donations would provide especially meaningful support in helping us keep up with ongoing medical costs and the impact of missed work. One-time donations are also deeply appreciated and will make a real difference.
If you are able to give or share Sophia’s fundraiser, thank you for supporting our family and helping us stay focused on what matters most: Sophia and her treatment.
