Hello, my name is Sophia Almeida, and I work as a social worker in Bloomington, IN to assist with re-housing the unhoused and preventing those threatened with eviction.

Recently, I became ill with meningitis and it has left me temporarily unable to work. My doctors are extending my hospitalization for two weeks while they put me on a rigorous regimen of antibiotics and complete further tests.
