Hi, my name is Alice Roux, I'm French and I've been fundraising for my Palestinian friend Belal Shaqura.

The money raised thanks to your generous donations has been helping Bilal and his parents survive the ordeal in Gaza.

Despite being still tragically stuck in Gaza, Belal is delighted to announce his engagement to Noorhan, a brillant Engineering student from Gaza.

They are getting married this summer, on July 22.

This fundraiser is to help them pay for their wedding expenses to make their wedding day even more special and beautiful.

The money raised will be transferred to a friend of Belal's via Revolut, who will then be able to provide Belal with cash.

Belal was one of my students while I was teaching English in Cape Town, South Africa, in 2019. We have been in touch ever since.
