"Inocincio 'Sonny' Renio is 39 years old and currently living in Guam. On Friday 9/27/24, Sonny went in an ambulance to GRMC because he was in unbearable pain for close to a month; as first hand witness to this (Megan) I can vouch that it was terrifying to see him suffering to the extent he was expressing it in such extreme ways. I had never seen him like this before. It was four days later on Tuesday, Oct 1st that our life was completely turned upside down and we received terrifying news. Some of the results from his blood work came in and he was diagnosed with Leukemia. One week later we received further datails of his condition when the results arrived from his bone marrow biopsy and discovered he has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a type of condition mostly found in children and a very rare type of Leukemia found in adults. ALL is known to grow very quickly and upon diagnosis needs to be treated immediately, especially when found in an adult. Anybody who knows Sonny is very aware that he is a devoted and loving father to 6 children with whom he shares the most beautiful and incredible bond. He is their world just as much as they are his. The youngest being only one year old, they all have many years of growing up that he would give anything to be a part of. For Sonny to fight this Cancer and have a chance at being cured he will need Chemotherapy and afterward will require a Bone Marrow transplant. His insurance coverage does not cover bone marrow transplant. Currently he is still hospitalized at Guam Regional Medical City as his doctor and health care team there are gathering his options for where he can go that can provide the specific treatment necessary. Unfortunately because the bone marrow transplant is not covered the expenses, including travel, will all need to be paid out of pocket. We know for certain that we need to raise a minimum of $10k in expenses just to send him off on his way to get the ball rolling while his condition is still stable enough to allow him to safely board his flight and arrive in the states and get admitted into the hospital for his treatment... We do not have any time to waste as this is his life at stake... any bit helps and means the world to us and especially to him. This is the upmost absolute priority... your contribution will be the most meaningful favor and will be appreciated and cherished deeply. Above all and at the very least please please keep lifting him up in prayer. Thank you all for your time reading and an especially enormous thank you for your support. "
