Hi, my name is Sonja. My husband was sent to prison 18 months ago. Social Security and the VA, stopped sending his retirement and disability checks, leaving me to pay all the bills. I am trying to keep my bills paid, but it is impossible. The monthly income was cut by over $3000. I am retired, in a wheelchair, and only get $1000 a month. So far, I have used all of the savings and started selling off everything I can to help cover the household bills. My mortgage is $958 a month, the car has been repossessed, not to mention the utilities.
