On December 9th, Don Gabriel Dueñez, better known as Sonido Dueñez, the legendary DJ and creator of cumbias rebajadas from Monterrey, Mexico was rushed to the hospital for health complications and was diagnosed with an ischemic stroke; he has since been in the hospital being monitored during the past week.
Sonido Dueñez & family need support as they get through this challenging time and he cannot work to support his family, and medical bills continue to stack against them as they run tests and stabilize him.
Calling upon the global community of DJs, record collectors and anyone who has been moved or impacted by Sonido Dueñez's contributions to music and cumbia rebajada.

Información sobre la salud de Don Gabriel Dueñez - Sonido Dueñez
El pasado 09 de diciembre Gabriel ingresó al Hospital San Vicente de urgencia por complicaciones con el habla y mareo, se identificó un infarto cerebral. Fué estabilizado y monitoreado durante los siguientes días.
Ayer se le dió la alta de estable para ser trasladado al Hospital de Cardiología 34 (IMSS). Es necesario realizar un cateterismo lo más pronto posible y así valorar y diagnosticar los pasos siguientes.
Se les recuerda a toda la comunidad, amigxs y fans de Sonido Dueñez mantener el apoyo y la solidaridad con la familia. Don Gabriel muestra mejoría pero es importante el apoyo para avanzar en la siguiente etapa.
