My name is Kai-Lin and along with my mother Sonia Young-Hernandez, we are raising funds to support our family affected by Hurricane Melissa in Kingston and Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Thanks to God, all our family has survived the storm, which made landfall on October 28th, 2025. In recent days, we’ve learned about the magnitude of the devastation. Essentially, all is lost and must be rebuilt from scratch.
Their family's homes have been severely damaged—with torn roofs, extensive flooding, blown-out windows, and downed trees. This damage has affected not just our direct family, but friends and neighbors in our local communities, particularly in Catherine Hall and Kingston.
In the United States, we’re personally gathering supplies: food, water, medical items, clothing, hygiene essentials, and household supplies to send to our families in Jamaica. Contact me directly to coordinate donation drop-off and pickup in South Florida or send an email.
