Support Sonia’s Dissertation Research Trip to Guyana!

Hi, I'm Sonia Singh, a sociology professor and currently an Ed.D (Doctor of Education) student. I am fundraising because I've been given a unique opportunity to travel to Guyana this May with my university where I can continue my doctoral research on Caribbean student experiences.

This trip is special because not only is it my final semester of coursework for my doctoral degree, but it is a full-circle moment for me as I am Guyanese and my research on Caribbean students would continue at the University of Guyana. This is incredibly dear to me because my grandfather built the only road leading up to the University of Guyana—this has inspired much of my research. The trip is also happening right before my birthday, so it's extra exciting.
