Mission To India (YWAM School of Worship)

Donation protected
Hi Friends, I have been invited to teach songwriting at YWAM's School of Worship in New Delhi, India October 13-17, 2025. It's the first time YWAM is bringing songwriting to this region and I will have the privelege of leading & teaching worship leaders the craft of worship music co-writing!

YWAM India and in Delhi serve the poor, the needy, the underprivileged, and the marginalised of society through various mercy ministries & programs. So, I hope you can see this calling for me to teach in India is a greater work from what I have done so far. It's clear we need prayer warriors to join Scott & I to be praying for protection, provision and God’s will be done. We also need encouragement as its quite far to go (24+ hour flights). And we need funding for my flight, which is why we've launched this gofundme.

Your support through prayer, encouragement, and financial giving will help me go and serve... to strengthen faith in this region and to help raise up new songs and new voices of worship in a place that desperately needs the hope of Christ. Let's partner together in this powerful work!

The week will consist mainly of worship, instruction, testimony, and prayer and will culminate in a collaborative approach to writing new original songs. These songs will express the missionaries solid faith in a way that will reach their local communities in both language and cultural style.

I will be equipping worship leaders to work together in unity and grace to share the gospel through the creation of new songs. This will be my fourth YWAM teaching opportunity. I find the deepest joy in this kind of work because I not only get to share the story of what God has done in my life (encouraging and reminding these young worship leaders and songwriters that God is still healing, and He is still restoring today) but I also get to be a part of writing authentic and powerful songs that will strengthen faith in their communities and beyond.

Today, in northern India, worship music is often shaped by Western songs translated into local languages, and original Christian worship songs are few. Teaching worship leaders in India to write their own songs gives them the tools and experience to continue express their faith in ways that resonate deeply with their communities, using melodies, rhythms, and lyrics that feel truly their own. In a country where Christianity is a minority and expressions of faith can carry both beauty and boldness, songwriting becomes a powerful act of witness, discipleship, and cultural transformation.

MORE INFO ABOUT YWAM & YWAM NEW DELHI

Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world.

Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), we unite in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known. Back when we began in 1960, our main focus was to help youth get involved in missions.
Today, we continue to focus on youth, while also including people of all ages. We currently have tens of thousands of staff (called “YWAMers”) from nearly every country, including a place like India.

We reach out in 180+ countries through three main areas — Evangelism, Training, and Mercy Ministry. Our ministries cover every sphere of society, including ship-based medical care, performing arts teams, Bible training programs, business coaching, sports ministries, anti-trafficking work, and many more. YWAM functions as a family of ministries rather than a centralised agency.

OUR PURPOSE, BELIEFS, AND VALUES
Know God and Make Him known.
The combination of our purpose, beliefs, and values makes up the unique family characteristics of YWAM—our “DNA.”

YWAM’s Statement of Purpose
Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is an international movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to presenting Jesus personally to this and future generations, to mobilizing as many as possible to help in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission. As citizens of God’s kingdom, we are called to love, worship, and obey our Lord, to love and serve His body, the Church, and to love all peoples everywhere, which includes presenting the whole Gospel for the whole person throughout the whole world.

We of Youth With A Mission believe in God–Father, Son and Holy Spirit–and that the Bible is God’s inspired and authoritative Word, revealing that Jesus Christ is God’s Son, fully God and fully human; that people are created in God’s image; that He created us to have eternal life through Jesus Christ; that although all people have sinned and come short of God’s glory, God has made salvation possible through the incarnation, life, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ; that repentance, faith, love and obedience are fitting responses to God’s initiative of grace toward us through the active ministry of the Holy Spirit; that God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth; and that the Holy Spirit’s power is demonstrated in and through us for the accomplishment of Christ’s last commandments, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone” (Mark 16:15 NLT) and “Go and make disciples of all the nations…” (Matthew 28:19 NLT).

* The Vision: The initial vision was of young people going out as missionaries to different nations, a concept that initially met with some resistance from established denominations.
* Mission: YWAM's mission is to know God and make Him known, with a particular focus on involving youth and people of all ages in missions.
* Global Movement: YWAM is a decentralised, relational organisation with tens of thousands of staff in nearly every country.
* Core Values: YWAM's foundational values, formally adopted in 1991, emphasise teamwork, servant leadership, and hospitality.
* Focus on Youth:
While YWAM involves people of all ages, its roots and continued focus on empowering youth to serve in missions remain central.
* Reaching the World:
YWAM's activities include evangelism, mercy ministries, and training programs to equip believers for their role in the Great Commission.
* Biblical Foundation:
YWAM's beliefs are rooted in the Bible, emphasising the importance of Jesus Christ, salvation, and the Holy Spirit's role in fulfilling God's commands.

YWAM India and in Delhi alike carry this same vision, mission, core beliefs, and are active in all three main areas of ministry of evangelism, training & mercy ministry. We serve the poor, the needy, the underprivileged, and the marginalised of society through various mercy ministries & programs. We evangelise, run prayer houses, and plant churches. We run Discipleship Training Schools and many other secondary-level schools across the nation. The School of Worship, which is a secondary school in YWAM, will be the first of it's kind in this region with the goal to raise up local leaders and worshipping warriors who will serve in India and beyond.
