I am writing on behalf of my daughter, Sommer. For the last year, she has had several medical issues and recently underwent a total thyroidectomy, during which there were several complications. One was a complete severance of her vocal cord. They did their best to repair it, and now she is doing speech therapy along with managing her other health issues.

Sommer is a single mom of three and works full-time, but unfortunately, she has had to miss a lot of work due to the doctor visits, the surgery, and now the recovery. She is trying to make herself go back early because while she is out, she has no income and utilities are in jeopardy of being cut off, bills are stacking up, and not to mention the holidays are approaching fast. A friend told me it may be worth trying to do a GoFundMe, and I would do anything to take a little stress and worry off of her right now so she can just focus on recovering.
