I adopted Solis as a COVID puppy over five years ago. Her rescue name was “Moon,” and I chose Solis—Latin for “sun.” From the start, she’s been incredibly sweet, gentle, and smart. Though shy at first, everyone falls in love with her once they get to know her.

Solis is a 74-pound boxer mix who recently was diagnosed with a fully torn ACL. The best and most effective treatment is TPLO surgery, which costs $6,000 and has an excellent prognosis. Without it, she’s at high risk of injuring her other leg.
