My daughter Soleil just turned 1 on March 13th, 2026. Our journey took a difficult turn starting in December, when at just 9 months old, Soleil began experiencing unexplained bleeding. I took her to Levine’s Children’s Emergency Room countless times, but each visit ended with us being sent home and told the issue would resolve itself. Despite my concerns, we were dismissed multiple times, and I was left feeling helpless as a mother.

This past Sunday, I returned to the ER and insisted on further testing. On March 29th, a mass was discovered in Soleil’s uterus. She was admitted to Levine’s Children’s Hospital for a multi-day stay, and on March 30th, we received the diagnosis: rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. As a single mother to two children, this news has brought immense physical, financial, and emotional stress. I have always worked hard to provide for my family, but this diagnosis threatens my ability to work and support my children during Soleil’s treatment.
