Help Us Build Solar-Powered Computer Labs for Students in Rural Haiti
Hi, my name is Emma, and I’m the Fundraising Director for Ouvè Je’w, a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding educational access in rural Haiti through technology.
In December, our team traveled to Haiti and successfully built two fully functioning computer labs—one in Okap and one in Port-Margot. For many of these students, it was the first time they had ever used a computer.
We don’t just donate laptops.
We build solar-powered computer labs, ensuring schools can operate even in areas without reliable electricity. Each lab provides students with access to digital literacy, research skills, and educational tools that open doors to future opportunities.
These first two labs were entirely funded by our team. Now, as we prepare to return to Haiti in June to continue expanding this work across the country, we need your help to keep this mission moving forward.
Our current fundraising goal is $7,500, which will help us:
Purchase laptops and equipment
Install solar power systems
Build additional sustainable computer labs
Every donation—no matter the size—brings us one step closer to empowering more students with access to education and technology.
If you’re unable to donate financially but have a laptop or desktop computer you’re no longer using, your contribution can still make a powerful impact. Please reach out to us through our Instagram @ouve_je_w or visit our website at https://ovjw.org/
to get in contact.
Together, we can bridge the digital divide and give students in rural Haiti the tools they deserve to learn, grow, and thrive.
Thank you for believing in this mission and for helping us power education—one lab at a time.
