Support Sofia's Gap Year Goals!
Donation protected
My parents and I have agreed that I will be primarily responsible for finding and financing gap year opportunities. On top of the jobs I've been working, I'm hosting a special cello performance fundraiser to help me reach my goals. Capacity is limited, and there will be hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and desserts.
Whether you're able to attend my performance or not, I welcome your donation and support! If you do plan on attending, please leave a comment so we know how many seats to hold -- space is limited.
My main gap year goal is to visit the Coral Triangle, an area of Southeast Asia known for its spectacular reefs and biodiversity. As a marine bio student and SCUBA diver, I want to use this flexible time in my life to dive this region while the reefs are still as vibrant as I’ve always heard. As a part of this trip, I am looking to use my SCUBA skills in a month-long Research Assistant position in the Philippines with the Institute for Marine Research.
Additionally, I will be interning at the New England Aquarium, and hope to travel to Europe to practice my French and visit family and friends who live overseas.
Thank you for all your support!
