In August of 2022, Avery and Elizabeth Snyder moved their growing family to a larger home in Ankeny, Iowa. Avery, being a handyman, began gradually renovating rooms throughout the family’s new home, but last month, he discovered a problem under the kitchen floor: mold. Testing revealed the mold was dangerous and the likely cause of ongoing family health issues, and an exploration of the attic uncovered large swaths of black mold.

After praying and seeking counsel, Avery and Elizabeth have decided to again move their family, though the location of their new home is currently unknown. For now, they are living in the basement of Mark and Becki Lounsbrough, while they perform mold remediation and home reparations in preparation to sell their home.

The funds raised by this GoFundMe will help Avery and Elizabeth cover mold remediation expenses, storage fees, and furniture replacement, since much of their furniture is unsalvageable.
