Support SnapShot: Help Her Recover from Roller Derby Injury
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and the roller derby community,
Our beloved teammate and friend, SnapShot #52 (Rebecca Young), recently experienced a devastating injury while doing what she loves—playing roller derby. On August 17th, during a match in Cape Girardeau, MO, SnapShot suffered a severe tibia-fibula break. After being rushed to the local hospital in Cape Girardeau, it became clear that she needed surgery, and she was transferred to a hospital in Memphis, TN, so she could be closer to family.
SnapShot began playing with Memphis Roller Derby last fall and quickly showed her skill and competitive nature, earning a spot on the Memphis B-Sides this past spring. Her dedication to the sport and her team has been nothing short of inspiring, and she has become an integral part of our roller derby family.
The injury and subsequent surgery are not only physically and emotionally taxing but also come with significant medical expenses. As you can imagine, the costs associated with the emergency medical care, surgery, and the ongoing rehabilitation that SnapShot will need are substantial.
SnapShot has been a fierce competitor on the track and a supportive teammate off of it. Now, she needs our help to get back on her feet. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with others who might be able to help. Every little bit helps, and we are incredibly grateful for any support you can provide.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity.
