Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a global network of young leaders committed to creating positive change, and this year, we’re focusing on education because every child deserves the chance to learn with dignity and joy.

Imagine walking miles to school in worn-out, broken sandals, or sitting in class without a single book or pen to write with. For many pupils in underserved communities in Nigeria, this is their daily reality. But it doesn’t have to be. Our campaign, “Your Support Puts Smiles Back in Classrooms,” aims to change that story for over 300 children.

Through our partnership, we aim to provide essential school supplies: books to spark curiosity, pens to capture ideas, uniforms to foster pride, and sturdy sandals to make the journey to school safe and comfortable. These aren’t just items, they’re tools that empower kids to focus on learning, dream big, and build a brighter future.

We’ve seen the impact firsthand. Children who once arrived at school distracted by discomfort now light up with smiles, eager to dive into lessons. No child should walk to school like this in tattered footwear that exposes them to injury and hardship. Together, we can change this story.
