For over 30 years, Walt and Lori Bonner have dedicated their lives to something bigger than basketball. What began as a shared passion—meeting as college athletes and continuing through Walter’s professional playing career overseas—has grown into a mission rooted in purpose, mentorship, and opportunity.
Through Imua Global Athletics, dba SMAC Az, that mission lives on. Every day, we work with young athletes from all walks of life—many facing challenges that extend far beyond the court. Our program is built on teaching fundamentally sound basketball, high IQ decision-making, and true team play. But what matters most is what these athletes carry with them off the court: confidence, discipline, resilience, and belief in their own potential.
We don’t just coach players—we help shape futures. Basketball is our vehicle to teach life lessons, emphasize the importance of education, and guide kids toward opportunities they may have never believed possible. Our ultimate goal is to help as many student-athletes as we can reach college and build meaningful, successful lives.
