My name is Margita. I have lived in the United States since 1987, but I have strong ties to my birth country of Slovakia. Slovakia is a beautiful small country wedged between Poland, Austria, and Czechia. It's a country of rich history and culture.

Our local volunteer theater was invited to attend the AACT WorldFest festival, which will take place from June 15 to 20, 2026, in Venice, Florida, USA. The company’s participation results from a decision of the festival’s dramaturgical council and an official invitation letter from the organizer.

AACT WorldFest is a major international theatre festival organized by the American Association of Community Theatre. The festival provides a platform for the presentation of theatrical productions from various countries around the world, as well as for professional workshops, discussions, and networking events aimed at developing international cooperation.

The main intention of the project is to represent the Slovak Republic through contemporary Slovak theatre and to strengthen international contacts. The primary objective of the project is to present the existing production HRA NA BOHA – PLAYING GOD in an international context, support the mobility of performers and creators, and increase the visibility of Slovak culture in the United States.
