Support SLOPD Sgt. Joshua Walsh and His Family During His Recovery
On the morning of Wednesday September 3rd 2025, our friend and colleague, Sergeant Joshua Walsh of the San Luis Obispo Police Department, was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident on Highway 101 near Shell Beach Rd while on his way to work. The collision resulted in numerous severe injuries that required him to be rushed to Sierra Vista Hospital before being airlifted to a trauma center out of the area for emergency care.
Josh is currently undergoing multiple procedures and surgeries, and his path to recovery will be long, complex, and challenging. He is expected to remain hospitalized for an extended period and will require significant rehabilitation afterward.
His wife Suzie and family are currently staying by his side at the hospital. As you can imagine, the emotional and financial toll on the family is immense. In addition to overwhelming medical expenses, the family is facing travel, lodging, food, and lost income costs, all while focusing on Josh’s recovery and well-being.
Josh has dedicated his career to serving and protecting the San Luis Obispo community. Now, he and his family need our support.
Please consider donating to help ease their financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference and allow the family to focus on what matters most: healing and being together.
Thank you for your support, prayers, and compassion.
