Support For Post-Partum Healthcare

Katiee and I are starting a GoFundMe for our dear friend Skylar. Skylar and her husband, Tyler, had been trying to have a baby for a long time, and it finally happened. However, the little guy made his way into the world quite a bit early, with several complications.

One night, Katiee sat straight up in bed and texted me to see if Skylar was okay. She checked Skylar’s location, and we discovered she was at the hospital. The next day, we found that she was having medical complications. She had to have surgery, and her son’s birth was highly traumatic and stressful. Luckily, both mom and baby are alive, and the baby is doing just great. However, Skylar has received more potentially negative medical news, and in addition to everything else, the medical bills have become insurmountable.

We love our girl and the sweet new little guy in our lives. We are making this GoFundMe to gather funds to help Skylar and her husband with the medical bills from childbirth and their pending bills as Skylar is tested for a new diagnosis. This will surprise our friends, as we desperately wanted to do something to help them during this transition time in their lives. Being new parents and dealing with unexpected medical bills has taken a toll on their mental and physical health, and we want to provide support for them so they can start to heal.

The money earned from the donations to this fundraiser will go directly to their medical debt from the arrival of their son and be paid forward for future tests and exams Skylar or the baby may need to undergo.
