We did it!!! The horses have been homed!!!

After two years and a last hail mary instagram and facebook post, numerous texts and conversations, a home has been found for my parents horses Skylar and Scrappy Joe. A big thank you to Amanda at Tehachapi Valley Horse Rescue for taking them in.

Talking with Amanda, she mentioned funds have been tight, yet she still worked out a way to take them both in. While my parents don't have much to donate and give due to my dad's medical bills, I offered to start up a fundraiser for the rescue as thanks for taking them in. The money will go towards their feed, senior feed pellets, tack, corral panels, and shelter upgrades with any extra/leftover funds going to the other animals kept at TVHR.

With my dad's dementia and alzheimer's diagnosis, it has been a long journey rehoming all of the animals at the Owens Ranch and this has been the final piece. I'm crying with gratitude as I write this thankful that all of the animals have found a home and knowing this is what my dad would have wanted for them.

Thank you to Kalani, Tita, McKay, Lee, and Adriana for your help in reaching this goal and everyone's messages and dedication. Thank you Mom for caring for the animals when Dad couldn't. Thank you to everyone who is able to donate.
