Our lives changed the day we heard the words invasive ductal carcinoma. In that moment, everything else stopped. Since then, it’s been a blur of surgeries, doctor visits, fear, and hope — all wrapped into one. Skye has already faced a double mastectomy with incredible strength, but her fight is far from over. Next comes six months of chemotherapy, Endocrine Therapy, and potentially three years of chemo pills.
We’re doing everything we can to stay strong, but this journey has tested us in every possible way — physically, emotionally, and financially. Skye runs her own small business, which means there’s no paid time off, no safety net. Every hour she takes to rest and heal is unpaid. The medical bills keep coming, and the everyday expenses don’t stop.
Watching the person you love go through this kind of pain changes you. It’s terrifying, humbling, and heartbreaking all at once. But it’s also shown me just how strong she truly is. Skye doesn’t like asking for help — she never has — but we’ve learned that sometimes love means letting others lift you up when you can’t stand on your own.
We’re asking for help to take some of the financial weight off our shoulders so Skye can focus on what matters most: healing. Anything you can give — a donation or a share— means more to us than words can ever say.
Thank you for standing with us, for believing in Skye’s strength, and for reminding us we’re not alone in this fight. ❤️
