Hello! My name is Skye Billingsley, and I’m raising money to request my mother’s original birth certificate and adoption records from Arkansas Vital Records.

My mom, Amber Ashly Gordon, was born on November 7, 1979 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas, and was adopted at birth. Unfortunately, Baptist stated that they purge records after 10 years, and my grandmother doesn’t have her original birth records. My grandmothers memory has declined over the years and she doesn't remember the name of her birth mother and the adoption of my mom was supposedly set up by my deceased grandfather. Since the adoption wasn’t done through an agency, we don’t know who her biological parents were.

I have done DNA testing, but unfortunately, I've only had a couple of leads to that side of my family, but they have never been conclusive.

The funds raised will go directly toward the costs of obtaining her original birth certificate and adoption file from Arkansas Vital Records. This will help me in tremendous ways to learn more about my mom’s story and my family history.
