Skye Naves is my dear friend, and she recently lost her mother, Valerie, to heart failure. Valerie struggled with drug addiction for over 30 years, and Skye, who is only 25, has spent her entire life living with and caring for her mother. Just a few days ago, Skye went to check on her mom and found her already gone. She tried to give her CPR, but it was too late. The shock and pain of this loss are unimaginable, and my heart breaks for Skye.

Valerie did not leave any money behind, so Skye is now facing the overwhelming challenge of handling cremation costs and immediate expenses like rent and bills, all on her own for the first time. Skye is the sweetest person I know—she has always put others first, and now she needs our help more than ever.
