Dear friends, family, and kind supporters,
I’m reaching out to share some difficult news and ask for your help. Our father, Julius Ciprian Sr. —known to many as Skip—has been fighting stage 4 cancer since December 2021. Recently, he transitioned to in-home hospice care, and we’ve been told he doesn’t have much time left. This is a heartbreaking reality for our family, and we’re doing everything we can to make his remaining days as comfortable and peaceful as possible.
My dad and my stepmom, Maryann, are private people who’ve never been ones to ask for help, even in the toughest of times. But the truth is, the medical expenses are piling up fast, and they’re facing a burden no one should have to carry alone. Dad was a hard worker his whole life, always doing his best to provide for us. He was tough—sometimes more stoic than emotional—but beneath that exterior was a man who cared deeply in his own quiet way. He showed his love through action, not always words, and that’s something I’ll always carry with me. Meanwhile, Maryann has been an absolute rock, tirelessly working to both provide for and care for Dad with a strength that inspires us all.
Right now, he needs around-the-clock support to manage his care, and it’s more than we can handle on our own. That’s why I’ve set up this GoFundMe—to ease the financial strain and give him the dignity and comfort he deserves in his final days. Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward his medical expenses and care, helping us focus on what matters most: being there for him.
If you knew Skip, you know he was a man of strength and resilience. If you didn’t, I hope you’ll see the love we have for him and consider supporting us during this challenging time. Even a share of this page would mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and generosity.
With gratitude,
Jonathan, Selena, Carl and Guy
