Support Skinner's Journey Through Chondrosarcoma
Donation protected
Skinner “Skinny” Bradford is a 7 year old retired racing greyhound and our sweet baby boy. If you have ever met him, you know he is the definition of a “good boy,” being one of the most loving goofy dogs to ever set a paw on this Earth, a gentle giant that only whines or barks when he needs affection. He is a professional sleeper who relives his glory days every few hours with a case of his backyard zoomies, a 40 mph couch potato to the core. A french fry contissour, car ride expert, and loving brother to his cat sister Nala, he is the first greyhound for Ryan and first ever dog for Laura.
On May 29th 2024, Skinny was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, an aggressive bone cancer with a near 0% survival rate once it has metastasized to the lungs and other parts of the body. We are fortunate that chest x-rays have come back clean so far, though with this type of cancer, time is of the essence. We have begun consultations with Dr Guillermo Cuoto, regarded as the most knowledgeable oncologist for sighthounds in the world and founder of The Greyhound Health Initiative at The Ohio State University. Barring any further metastasis, Skinner will need to undergo amputation of the infected leg along with multiple rounds of chemotherapy/radiation.
We are reaching out for donations to help ease the cost of consultations, surgery, treatments, and medication. Any donation is greatly appreciated and helpful during Skinner's journey toward full health. Thank you for your assistance and prayers in this difficult time.
Love,
Laura, Ryan, and Skinner
