Support Skidder's Fight Against IMHA

We are asking friends and family to help Mya & Garrett with the upcoming bills they’ll have for Skidder’s recovery.

12/24 9am Skidder’s red blood cell count is at 20%! Went up 5% in just one day! He’s very happy to be home❤️ 10% more to go and then he can get off the steroids. The steroids are making him pretty spicy

12/23 8am update: Skid’s blood is 15.1% this morning! They are able to go break him out of vet jail! He continues to go up slowly! They’ll take him back in the morning to get tested. Thank you for your prayers and donations. They are SO excited to have him home!

12/21 9am update: Skid’s blood was tested again this morning and he is at 12.9% falling back down from 14% yesterday afternoon. He is finishing up his prednisone (48 hours) and they are starting another blood transfusion. The doctor is hopeful between the prednisone and transfusion he will start turning around. Please continue praying. We’d love him to come home for Christmas. ♥️

12/20 8am update: Skid is still at the vet clinic and is done with his first blood transfusion. His red blood cell count went from 11% to 13%. They are checking him again today at noon to see if his body is going to start making its own or if he will have to have another transfusion. His bill is around $1,300.00 right now and climbing. Let’s take some pressure off Mya & Garrett right now and donate. Even if all you can do is $5.00. We need a Christmas miracle and so does Skid. If you can’t donate please say prayers for our little guy. ♥️

12/19/24

We got some sad unexpected news this morning, skidder got diagnosed with IMHA which destroys his red blood cells, causing him to be anemic. He had to get an emergency blood transfusion this morning. We are very thankful we took him in when we did because the doctor was shocked he was still alive. His red blood cell count was 11% and is supposed to be at least 30%. So as of right now we are just going with the flow and praying he has a good recovery. Please send prayers for skidder❤️
