Hi, my name is Skai. I’m a full-time college student trying to stay housed, enrolled, and on track to graduate — but I’m facing unexpected financial challenges this summer.
My school is charging me $3,641 for summer housing and classes. I’ve just been told I have to pay $1,213.67 every month on May 15, June 15, and July 15 as part of a new payment plan. Last summer, housing was free — so this came as a huge surprise.
I don’t have family I can stay with, and while I do have a job, it doesn’t pay enough to cover these large payments. On top of that, many jobs aren’t hiring right now. I’m also enrolling in summer classes so I can graduate on time — because if I fall behind, I may not have enough financial aid to cover future semesters.
I just finished my spring semester with a 3.0 GPA, and I’m doing my best to push through. But without help, I risk losing my housing, falling behind in school, and facing even more hardship.
I’m asking for help covering these unexpected costs so I can keep moving forward. Anything helps — even just sharing this.
Thank you for your time and support,
Skai
